Our Story
AKAY traces its roots to a textile store operated by Mustafa Akay in Samsun between 1920 and 1950. The foundations of the brand were laid by Rafet Akay in 1976 in a modest shop located in Istanbul’s Mahmutpaşa district, where bridal gowns were offered alongside traditional trousseau items.
Over time, through the dedication of the Akay family and the vision of Ermiya Akay, the brand grew into one of Turkey’s most established, recognized, and pioneering names in bridal fashion.
